"Now many have become Levitical priests, since they are prevented by death from remaining in office. But because He remains forever, He holds His priesthood permanently. Therefore, He is always able to save those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede for them. For this is the kind of high priest we need: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens. He doesn't need to offer sacrifices every day, as high priests do - first for their own sins, then for those of the people. He did this once for all when He offered Himself." Hebrews 7:23-27 This is the reason we live! This is the reason we can make it through trials! This is the reason that we, through Him, can reveal His light, stand behind His strength, and endure all that is set before us. Jesus is the reason, and the hope for this very day that precedes us. Why not start it out with Him, and enjoy, even in the midst of struggles, He is still there offering comfort, peace, and love.
Lord, as You know there has been some fairly wide spread damage from the storms of this week-end. I lift to You, the families of those who perished, those who lost so much. Help them to realize that even through this loss, You are still with them. Let them feel Your presence. I pray for: their ability to continue on, in this face of loss. I pray for Eric, Brent's Grandfather, who is in Hospice; for Terri, Steven, Lexi, Candy, who just lost her nephew; for Rheba, Ada, Harriet, Carolyn, Cynthia, Marlaina, Jackie Ann, Barbara, Loren, Speros, Mike S., Mike and Pam. Lord, let us see Your glory today, and may we be a light that shines in the darkness for others to see the way. I pray in Jesus name.
