In the military, we have each day something that is called, 'The Plan of the Day.' It is a written command about the daily activities that each person is to follow, and it is command specific, and some parts of the Plan of the day are from a much higher command, and involve things such as which uniform is to be worn throughout the region. But nevertheless, guidance is given daily for each work assignment and group. I do well with Plans for each day, and don't do too well just letting the day run without some kind of a plan. In faith, we are also given plans by our Lord, through the Word, and through the Spirit. Both work in concert with each other. One would never contradict the other. God has blessed us with "The testimony of two or more." we have the Word, and the Spirit, who together help us to carry on the plan of the Day. We only have to look at Scripture if we want to get the Plan of the Day. Today, I am reading from 1 Thessalonians 5 which tells us: "And we exhort you, brothers: warn those who are irresponsible, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient with everyone. See to it that no one repays evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all. Rejoice always! Pray constantly, Give thanks in everything, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Don't stifle the Spirit. Don't despise prophecies, but test all things. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil." So today let's be encouraged, let's be responsible, comforted, and patient. Let's rejoice that we have a loving Savior who cares for us so much each day that He will give us direction for every moment of our lives.
