A time when Jesus entered a town between Samaria and Galilee, ten men there, who had serious skin diseases approached Him and asked Him to have mercy on them. His answer was NOT, "be a good person and you will be healed!" His answer was NOT, "go give a certain amount of money to the church, and you will be healed!" But He told them to, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." It was during the time that they actually were on their way, that they were suddenly healed of their skin diseases. They were a happy lot to say the least. The Bible says: " But one of them, seeing that he was healed, returned and, with a loud voice, gave glory to God. He fell facedown at His feet, thanking Him, and he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus said, 'Were not 10 cleansed? Where are the nine? Didn't any return to give glory to God except this foreigner?' And He told him, 'Get up and go your way. Your faith has made you well." Luke 17:15-19 I wonder how many times our Lord still, through the Holy Spirit, nudges us to "step out in faith" to receive an answer to prayer, but we miss the request because we are waiting for some dynamic action to suddenly cleanse us. I can only imagine the other nine saying, 'Wow! what a coincidence, we are healed of this before we got there. Now we don't have to do what He said. It happened on its own." I think that if we look through the spiritual eyes we have been given, and listen with the spiritual ears we have been equipped with, we would see the miracles of Jesus, even today. We would hear the voice of the Lord so clearly. But guess what? we can, but are we too preoccupied with other things to recognize that we have indeed been healed. Some are healed immediately, some are healed along the path of life, while journeying to our home, and some are healed after we get there, but all of us will be healed, and in that I rest in faith.
Lord Jesus, Thank You for Your truth, for Your word is truth. I pray for those who have difficulty seeing You or hearing from You. I pray that You will bless them today, and please draw their hearts unto You. Please give a special touch to Pam, Rheba, Harriet, Carolyn, Cynthia, Barbara, Jackie Ann, Loren, Mike S., Lacy, Pete, Lauren, Sonny, Patty Stokes. May we see the work You are doing in us and through us, all because of Your great love, and I ask this in Your name - Jesus.
