Have you noticed lately the hatred and vitriol that is spewed from the mouths of those who hate our current leadership in this nation. I have not seen such ever before in my life, and I often ponder these days, why is the hatred so venomous? Is it really a difference of opinion? We have had differences since the beginning of our country, and still nothing like this. I can only come to one conclusion. It is the difference between good and evil. I'm not saying one side is good and the other evil, but the hearts of man are becoming polarized into good and evil. People seem to hate even that which they do not understand. But we only have to read the word to know that this is just a sign of the times, the time the birth pains are coming closer and closer together for the return of our Lord and Savior. He tells those around Him, as recorded in Luke 21 and other passages, that we are not to be alarmed, for these things must happen. But then He says this, and we should read and take note of this important declaration: "They will hand you over to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors because of My name. It will lead to an opportunity for you to witness. Therefore make up your minds not to prepare your defense ahead of time, for I will give you such words and a wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. You will even be betrayed by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. They will kill some of you. You will be hated by everyone because of My name, but not a hair of your head will be lost. By your endurance gain your lives." Luke 21:12-19 Are you prepared to be a witness? Will you stand for the faith? We have nothing to worry about, but we have a message imprinted on our hearts, that is a message of true love, even to our enemies. It is the message of Christ, to which we are called to be ambassadors. Let's not let hatred be exchanged for the hatred toward us, but let's understand the reason behind the hatred, and let our Lord fight the fight for us.
Lord God, please make our lives strong in You. Let us see Your glory, and teach us the words we are to say to our adversaries, words that bring healing and not pain. I pray today for: Pam, Jack, Patty, Mike S., Lacy, Pete, Lauren, Sonny, Carolyn, Rheba, Harriet, Ada. Father, give us eyes that see the very Army that surrounds us, protecting and going before us, as we journey homeward. I ask this in Jesus name.
