I trust you had a wonderful day fellowshipping with other believers in the Lord's house yesterday. I am overwhelmed by His majesty, and His mercy and grace. I feel undone in His presence, yet pleasantly comforted within His love. Let me share with you a powerful Psalm this morning: "The Lord reigns! Let the earth rejoice; let the many coasts and islands be glad. Clouds and thick darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him and burns up His foes on every side. His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord - at the presence of the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness; all the people see His glory." Psalm 97:1-6 Last night in the quiet of the night I was rewarded with the most magnificent light show I have seen in a while. The lightning was spectacular, better than the fireworks on the 4th. It was a show of beauty and of power. It reminded me of this Psalm, and I can't help but wonder at the rejoicing of the very earth to see such a display. At the same time, this spectacular show reveals a power so great it could melt mountains. It was like the heavens were proclaiming His glory. I am reminded of the great love of our God, through Jesus Christ, that we are His, and even though the world does not know Him, those who do, see the sight, because He has opened our eyes to the truth, and has given us the wonderful ability to see His glory. Do you see it? I pray you do, for He is revealing it every day to those who put their trust in Him. He reveals it in the newborn, and in the last days of the one preparing to meet Him. He reveals it in the spring rain, and in the mighty storm. He reveals it, even though some will call it circumstance for they cannot see the presence of the Lord. Won't you sit for a while this morning, and thank Him for His willingness to reveal Himself to us, so that we can be set at peace. Through trial, storm, or loneliness, He is ever present, for He reigns, and His majesty will make us want to praise Him once again.
Lord, thank You for the display and the confirmation that You have us in Your care. Thank You for the calm within the heart even during trials. Thank You for Your love toward us. I pray this morning for Pam, and praise You for making her whole again. I pray for Mandi and Nancy, Harriet, Carolyn, Rheba, Terri, who is sick. Lord please put Your hand on those who suffer. I pray for You grace during this time of uncertainty with this issue with my lung. Lord, You are mighty and I love You. Thank You for Your great comfort, last night, and through the day today, as we watch Your glory unfold. I pray and praise You in the name of our wonderful Lord and Savior - Your Son - Jesus.
